The British prime minister was worried about the increased “stress from Ukraine” and stressed that now is not the time to push Kyiv towards a “bad world.”
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called on G7 countries and NATO allies not to encourage Ukraine to agree to unfavorable peace terms due to Russia’s protracted war. He told reporters about it on June 23 before visiting Rwanda, Politico wrote.

The British Prime Minister reiterated his concern that the world “has grown tired of Ukraine.”
“Now is not the time to agree and encourage Ukrainians to agree to a bad peace, a peace in which they are asked to surrender part of their territory in exchange for a ceasefire,” Johnson said.
He said such a scenario would be a “catastrophe” that is likely to discourage Russian President Vladimir Putin and cause further damage to the world economy.
“The time has come to recognize that Ukrainians need help to change the dynamics in the Donbass, in Severodonetsk, and then in the south,” the politician added.
The head of the British government also noted that some of the poorest countries in the world depend on grain supplies from Ukraine, but decided to send a fleet to unblock Ukrainian ports.
Johnson believes it is necessary to find a way to export grain, which is not under Putin’s control.
