The agreement assumes that the EIB will provide Ukraine with 100 million euros for the restoration and modernization of social infrastructure. The money will be used to restore and modernize basic social services in the fields of education, healthcare, housing for displaced people, and social protection. The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reported this on June 11.
The agreement also provides for the repair and modernization of critical infrastructure in areas destroyed and in regions where the largest number of displaced people live.
The Ministry of Finance recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the EIB has provided Ukraine with more than 2 billion euros of investments.
Let us recall that President Vladimir Zelensky, during his visit to Berlin, said that Ukraine expects to receive agreements worth billions of euros as a result of this year’s Recovery Conference.
Today it became known that Ukraine and Germany signed a joint declaration of intent to strengthen bilateral cooperation to support the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war.
