Among the factors that influenced the strengthening of the mobilization was the entry into force of the new law, as well as the awareness of the citizens.
More people were mobilized in Ukraine in May than in the past few months. This was announced on Monday, June 10, by the Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko in a commentary in Ukrainskaya Pravda.
Kostenko noted that May 2024 was the most productive in terms of mobilization since the beginning of 2023. According to him, among the factors that influenced the strengthening of mobilization was the entry into force of the new law, as well as the awareness of citizens.
“I also think that many people who wanted to mobilize at the time when the law was being drafted waited to see what the conditions would be, and in May they joined the army,” he said.
Kostenko also believes that the effect of the new law on mobilization will be seen directly in the army within a few months.
We remind you that on May 18, the updated mobilization law went into effect. All military men and women ages 18-60 must update their credentials within 60 days, up to and including July 16th.
Because of the mobilization, the Ukrainian economy is facing difficult times
