He said that he started today with a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky. The situation in each direction of the front was discussed.
Zelensky assured that the Ukrainian army is under control of the situation in the Sumy region. The enemy continues to use sabotage groups, which our soldiers successfully destroyed.
“Regarding the village of Ryzhevka, the occupier tried to conduct a propaganda operation there, starting this morning, the Russian flag in the village was destroyed, without the presence of the occupier,” the head of state wrote.
According to him, counterattack actions of the Defense Forces are currently ongoing in the Kharkov region.
“We see what measures the enemy is planning and what redeployment he is carrying out,” Zelensky assured.
The most difficult situation, according to him, is in the Donetsk region. Our fighters are doing everything to stabilize and protect their positions.
However, in the east the situation remains unchanged. Defense forces continue to strengthen their positions.
Zelensky recalled that this week is very important for international positions in Ukraine.
“To achieve the necessary results, diplomacy must always rely on effective force. That is why we must withstand any Russian attacks and provocations at the front and on the borders and we must inflict on the occupier the exact type of those losses will bring us closer to victory in Ukraine at all levels,” – summed up the president.
The previous day, the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced the alleged seizure of the village of Ryzhevka in the Sumy region. But this is not true. As DeepState noted, the settlement is located in a gray zone and the situation there has not changed since the beginning of a full-scale war.
According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrei Kovalenko, the Russians tried to check the defenses in the direction of Ryzhevka, but the fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces inflicted heavy losses on them.
