In 2023 alone, 1.2 thousand miners were fired from VOT mines, which is more than 10% of their total number. Most of the mines in the captured region are idle.
In the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk region, the Russians systematically withheld wages from miners and thus made them dependent on the occupation authorities. The Center for National Resistance reported this on Sunday, June 9.
It is indicated that in some mining enterprises in the temporarily occupied Lugansk region, workers have not been paid since February.
“Labor administrations pay off salary debts with humanitarian aid, which is given in exchange for permission to receive a Russian passport,” the Central Tax Service said.
The Center calls this a conscious policy of the Russians, in order to intensify the social crisis in the region and make the local population more dependent on the Russian authorities.
“This is the “Russian world”, which depicts poverty and stagnation, while propaganda paints a “modern state”.
The CNS reminds that “under false slogans to revive the industry, the invaders entered the region, but they destroy everything they can reach.”
We remind you that in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region, the Russians conducted another wave of audits of industrial enterprises. Russian troops are compiling a list of unlooted and valuable equipment.
