Some of these agreements provide for the transfer of systems more quickly, and some closer to the fall of this year. Kyiv continues to communicate as actively as possible with all partners at every level that can help and strengthen Ukraine. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on the evening of June 8.
There are already agreements with partners on additional air defense systems for Ukraine, and some of these solutions will work more quickly, and some are closer to the fall. “I am grateful to every leader, every state that really practically supports us in this,” he noted.
According to the head of state, new security agreements for Ukraine are also almost ready. Zelensky stressed that the coming months are very important for strategic decisions. In May, the capabilities of the defense forces on the battlefield were expanded, particularly in terms of range. And June should bring a tightening of Ukrainian diplomacy and strategic prospects.
Let us recall that in early June the media reported that Italy plans to transfer the second SAMP/T air defense system to Ukraine. We are talking about a system that is currently deployed in Kuwait, but will soon return to Italy.
