The agreement, which introduces new standards for information exchange between Ukraine and NATO, especially on drone supply chains, will be finalized before the Alliance summit in Washington.
The North Atlantic Alliance and Ukraine plan to sign an agreement to expand cooperation in the field of defense technologies and exchange intelligence on Russia’s capabilities in the field of electronic warfare. This was announced by NATO Assistant Secretary General David van Weel, Bloomberg reports.
According to him, the agreement introducing new standards for information exchange between Ukraine and NATO, especially on drone supply chains, will be finalized before the Alliance summit in Washington.
One of the goals of the agreement is to help Ukraine become a large-scale supplier of technology after the end of the war, and for NATO it is also about following some examples of rapid introduction and deployment of technologies military
Van Weel’s statement was made at the first Ukraine-NATO Defense Innovation Forum, held in Krakow earlier this week, which was attended by representatives of 17 countries, including Ukraine, Belgium and the United States. The main theme of the event was how to counter Russia’s ongoing jamming of the global positioning system GPS, which has rendered several Ukrainian drones and foreign precision weapons ineffective.
It was previously reported that the Pentagon is working with Elon Musk’s SpaceX company to prevent the Russian military from unauthorized use of Starlink Internet terminals at the front in Ukraine.
