This Thursday, 6th, Suzanne Collins, author of the Hunger Games saga, announced that she will release another book about the universe of Panem. Entitled “Sunrise on the Reaping”, the story will take place 24 years before Katniss’s revolution, and will have as its protagonist the character Haymitch Abernathyhis mentor during the Games.
The news was announced through a photo on Instagram from the publisher that publishes the books in North America, saying the launch will take place in March 2025 and that the plot will begin on the morning of the Second Quartenary Massacre; check out:
Just today, around four hours after the book’s release was announced, it was revealed that the story will also be adapted for the screen. Currently, all films in the Hunger Games franchise are available on Prime Video, including the prequel “The Song of Birds and Snakes”, which narrates the past of President Snow, the main antagonist of the saga.
