The country will be represented at the event at the level of the Minister of Foreign Affairs – Budapest will be represented by Peter Szijjarto. The Hungarian Foreign Minister announced his participation in the peace summit to Russian journalists at the economic forum in St. Petersburg. Telex writes about this.

The diplomat assured the Russians that Hungary “will not participate in NATO operations against Russia.” He also expressed disappointment that there would be no Russian delegation at the summit.

We believe that real results would be achieved if everyone were at the negotiating table. This is not the case this time, but since we respect the peace efforts of the Swiss, we will participate at the level of the Foreign Minister,” he said.

Szijjártó stressed that he will go to Switzerland because Hungary stands for peace and will participate in all events where peace is on the agenda.

Let us remind you that US Vice President Kamala Harris and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will arrive from the United States of America at the Ukrainian peace summit in Switzerland.
