This was reported by the Media Detector publication with reference to a comment received from Gumenyuk.
This is not a new destination for me, but I cannot give dates. When an officer is appointed to a position, this is classified information. “I am now in the position of deputy head of the Communications Directorate of the Operational Command “South,” she noted.
According to Gumenyuk, her powers include everything related to communications of OK “South”.
For two and a half years I was the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, and now I have been officially appointed to the position of deputy head of the communications department of OK “South,” she said. “There is some difference here, even in the fact that now it is not the Defense Forces, it is a slightly different entity, but already within the competence of OK “South.”
This department was created as part of the communications reform in the Armed Forces as a whole. It is a relatively new structure, but its main purpose is to improve communications with conclusions drawn from the beginning of a full-scale invasion,” Gumenyuk added.
Gumenyuk headed the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine from spring 2022 to April 2024.
