In the Vinnytsia region today, June 4, a minibus with 17 children and five adults who were returning from an excursion got into an accident.

As a result, five teenagers aged 16 and 17 years and two adults were injured. This was reported by the communications department of the Vinnytsia region police.
As a result of the accident, one minor was hospitalized; the others were released home after receiving assistance. Investigators have begun a pre-trial investigation, the report says.
The event occurred at about 00:40 near the village of Kunka, Gaisinsky district.
According to preliminary information from the investigation, the 46-year-old driver of a Mercedes Sprinter minibus, who carried out irregular passenger transportation, lost control and allowed the vehicle to overturn, the police said.
It is noted that the driver is aware – he is sober. The vehicle was placed in the impound area.
Upon the fact of the incident, criminal proceedings have been opened, provided for in Part 1 of Art. 286 (Violation of road safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code. Such an offense is punishable by up to three years of restriction of freedom with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
