This was reported by Voice of America with reference to Harris’ press service.
The vice president will reaffirm U.S. support for the people of Ukraine and underscore the Biden-Harris administration’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the official said.
The United States will also be represented at the Summit by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky expressed disappointment with Beijing’s refusal to participate in the Peace Summit and expressed confidence that “China has something to do at the summit.”
At the same time, he said that Ukraine has confirmation from 106 countries of the world regarding their participation in the Peace Summit in Switzerland on June 15.
Joe Biden, US President, may meet with his Ukrainian counterpart on June 13-15 at the G7 summit in Italy. The US President will subsequently fly home to host a fundraising event for his presidential campaign.
