Last night was very difficult for the Ukrainian energy sector. The enemy fired at energy facilities in five regions of Ukraine. Two hydroelectric power stations were also under attack. Ukrhydroenergo reported this on Telegram.
In addition, hits were recorded on the infrastructure near the stations. The equipment is critically damaged. Hydropower engineers are already working to eliminate the consequences.
The company recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the enemy destroyed the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station and fired more than 110 missiles at all hydroelectric power stations and Ukrhydroenergo pumped storage power plants.
Let us remind you that Energy Minister German Galushchenko reported that on the night of June 1, Russia tried to attack the energy infrastructure in Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovograd and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. DTEK announced significant damage to equipment at two thermal power plants.
Also, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged in the Carpathian region, Lviv and Vinnytsia regions. The police restricted traffic through the Dnieper hydroelectric station in the Zaporozhye region.
