Italy will temporarily restore border controls

Due to the G7 Leaders’ Summit, border controls in Italy will be in effect from 14:00 on June 5 to 14:00 on June 18.

Italy’s interior ministry said the country’s land, sea and air borders would be temporarily subject to controls.

The G7 leaders’ summit in Puglia will take place on June 13-15.

Earlier, the media reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and American leader Joe Biden may sign a bilateral agreement on security guarantees at the G7 summit in Italy.
