Among China’s demands is the equal participation of Ukraine and Russia in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.
It will be difficult for China to participate in the Peace Summit in Switzerland, as Beijing’s demands are not taken into account. This is what the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Mao Ning, said, reports The Paper.
According to him, among Beijing’s demands is the equal participation of Russia and Ukraine in the Peace Summit, as well as “an indispensable discussion of all peace plans.”
Mao Ning said China’s demands were “fair and not directed against any party.” However, due to the fact that China’s proposals were ignored, it will be “difficult for Beijing to participate in the meeting.”
“China has communicated its views and concerns to the relevant parties. We will continue to promote peace and negotiations in our own way, maintain communication with all parties, and jointly create the conditions for a political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine,” he added.
We remind you that the Peace Summit will be held on June 15-16 in Switzerland. In total, more than 150 countries will participate, including Russia. President Vladimir Zelensky publicly invited his American and Chinese counterparts Joe Biden and Xi Jinping to participate.
China and Brazil are promoting an alternative to the Peace Summit with equal participation of all parties. And the media reported that the EU is planning peace negotiations with the participation of Russia. Looks like they can in the fall in Saudi Arabia.
