The Uzhgorod-Vyshne Nemetskoe checkpoint has been modernized with modern modular structures for customs and border control and sanitary modular structures installed there.
On the border with Slovakia, on Friday, May 31, from 14:00, passenger traffic resumed at the modernized checkpoint Uzhgorod – Vyshne Nemecke. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
The State Customs Service recalled that in order to modernize the checkpoints in the passenger direction of the customs post of Uzhgorod-Avtomobilny, in March of this year they began to install modern modular structures for customs and border control and sanitary modular structures. Therefore, passenger vehicle traffic was temporarily redirected in the freight direction.
“In addition to the above work, in a relatively short period of time, customs repaired a new road surface with the expansion of traffic lanes to increase the capacity of the checkpoint. Also, the canopy was updated in the passenger section, the lighting was replaced, new markings were applied, a new fence was installed and many other works were carried out,” – emphasizes the State Customs Service.
In particular, new mobile weighing systems, modern lighting fixtures, modular structures for customs and border control, modular sanitary facilities, updated road surfaces, etc. were installed.
It was previously reported about the modernization of the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint, as well as the reconstruction of the Reni checkpoint.
