Russian missiles and fighter jets can disappear in the air over Russian territory, the head of the State Department said.
Ukraine could use American air defense systems to destroy targets on Russian territory. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this during his visit to Moldova, The Washington Post reported yesterday.
In particular, Blinken recalled that the United States “does not encourage or allow attacks outside of Ukraine, but Ukraine, as I said earlier, must make its own decisions about how best to defend itself.”
He also added that the United States has “adapted and adjusted” to changing conditions on the battlefield and that as Russia uses new tactics of “aggression” and “aggression,” he is “confident that it will continue let’s do it.”
There are no restrictions on Ukraine’s use of US-supplied air defense systems to shoot down Russian missiles or fighter jets on Russian territory “if they pose a threat to Ukraine,” the head of the State Department said.
As you know, ten EU countries came out in favor of allowing Ukraine to use their weapons to strike Russian territory.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Alliance countries to allow Ukraine to attack Russian territory with Western weapons.
Meanwhile, in the United States, the position on strikes using American weapons on Russian territory has not changed: it is “not encouraged.”
