The Czech Republic announced the time of the transfer of shells to Ukraine

The first batch of ammunition purchased by the Czech Republic will be delivered to the Ukrainian military in the coming days.

The shells purchased as part of the Czech initiative will be handed over to the Ukrainian military in the coming days. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced this on Tuesday, April 28, Barron’s reports.

He said that fifteen EU and NATO countries have already collected more than 1.6 billion euros for shells for Ukraine.

“The first tens of thousands of 155-mm ammunition will be delivered in June, Ukraine can expect the first batch in the coming days,” said Fiala.

The prime minister also clarified that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received from the allies 918 units of heavy equipment, approximately 21 million medium-caliber ammunition and 1.7 million large-caliber ammunition and missiles.

Let’s remember that in April it became known that the Czech Republic had found more than one million shells for Ukraine. We are mainly talking about 155 mm ammunition.

At the beginning of May, the Czech Republic announced that they had raised money for 500 thousand shells for Ukraine.
