During the meeting, the Finnish and Estonian leaders discussed the Russian Federation’s hybrid attacks, events in Georgia and the importance of supporting Ukraine.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb visited Estonia on a working visit, where he discussed aid to Ukraine. Yle reported it.
He is convinced that all security policy should focus on supporting Ukraine, because Europe is lagging behind on the issue of helping Kyiv with weapons.
“At this stage, the talk about sending troops is speculative, and Finland’s position has not changed at all for Ukraine to win,” Stubb promised.
In addition, the agenda of the Finnish leader’s visit to Estonia included bilateral relations between the countries, security and defense, as well as energy and critical infrastructure issues.
In a joint press conference with his Estonian counterpart Alar Karis, the Finnish leader noted that they also discussed Russia’s hybrid attacks, events in Georgia and the importance of supporting Ukraine.
Stubb has previously said that Finland sees no reason to send its troops to Ukraine, but continues to provide military support.
According to him, the 23rd package of military aid to Ukraine contains means for air defense, as well as large-caliber artillery shells.
