An Iranian UAV carrying the latest Iranian Qaem-5 guided bomb crashed in the Kursk region. They were supposed to attack the Sumy region, but the drone fell for unknown reasons.
For the first time, Iranian authorities transferred to Russia the latest high-precision Qaem-5 aerial bomb for attacks in Ukraine. Bild reported this on Monday, April 27, citing the analytics of its expert Julian Röpke.
It was noted that Röpke studied the video footage from the Kursk region, where a heavy Iranian Qods Mohajer-6 drone crashed. According to the analyst, this drone carried the latest Iranian guided bomb Qaem-5 (Qaim-5). It is worth noting that in Iran itself they were adopted only in 2019.
“Apparently, the drone was supposed to attack the Sumy region, but for some unknown reason it fell,” said Röpke.
Before this incident, the Russian invaders did not use high-precision Qaem-5 in Ukraine. According to Röpke, their use indicates a “new level” of military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
In the past, Iranian officials denied media reports about the first delivery of Russian Su-35 fighter jets to the country.
