To identify the bases of the defense forces, the Russian intelligence service brought in its agent – a local handyman. Under the guise of performing auxiliary work, he walked around the territory of the community, where he secretly recorded the locations of Ukrainian defenders.
According to the investigation, the defendant was in direct contact with a career employee of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (better known as the GRU). His identity has already been identified.
It was established that Russian military intelligence remotely recruited the man because of his pro-Kremlin views, which he spread among his acquaintances. He faces life imprisonment.
