A week into the war in Ukraine, from May 19 to 26, the Russian army lost 8,900 troops and dozens of pieces of equipment. This was announced by the Commander of the Ground Forces, Alexander Pavlyuk, in Telegram on Sunday, May 26.
Between May 19 and May 26, the Ukrainian military managed to destroy three aircraft, one ship, and 11 Russian air defense systems.
The total battle losses of Russian troops on May 19-26 were approximately:
