The head of EU diplomacy noted the need for Europe to increase support for air defense in Ukraine.
The head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, on Sunday, May 26, reacted on the social network X to the Russian attack on the Epicenter hypermarket in Kharkov.
“I strongly condemn the heinous Russian attacks on the city of Kharkiv today, including a crowded shopping center and the killing and injury of civilians,” he said.
The official also noted the need for Europe to increase support for air defense, which “saves lives and protects Ukrainian cities.”
“Russia’s systematic crimes against civilians and civilian infrastructure once again emphasize Europe’s urgent need to increase support for air defense: it saves lives and protects Ukrainian cities.”
Borrell added that all those responsible for these and other war crimes in Russia will be brought to justice.
We remind you that on the afternoon of May 25, explosions were heard in Kharkov. The mayor said a construction hypermarket was hit. During the night, the Russians struck Kharkov again.
