The United States will continue to work with approximately 50 Alliance members and partners to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
The United States announced additional military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $275 million. This was reported by the press service of the US Department of Defense on Friday, May 24.
It was noted that the new aid package, in particular, provides for the provision to Ukraine of:
ammunition for HIMARS;
artillery shells of 155 mm and 105 mm caliber;
60 mm caliber mortar shells;
tube-launched optically tracked wire-guided (TOW) missiles;
Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
high-precision aviation ammunition;
small arms and additional ammunition for small arms and grenades;
explosive ammunition;
anti-armor mines;
tactical vehicles for equipment recovery;
helmets, body armor and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection equipment;
spare parts, maintenance and auxiliary equipment.
“The United States will continue to work with approximately 50 Alliance members and partners to ensure that Ukraine’s brave defenders have the critical capabilities needed to counter Russian aggression,” the statement said.
We remind you that on May 10, the United States announced the provision of arms worth $400 million to Ukraine. The package includes ammunition for Patriot and NASAMS, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 155 and 105 mm shells.
