Over the past two years, Ukraine has significantly increased the production of its own weapons. The Prime Minister named the production of drones as one of the most successful cases that they plan to follow this example in the production of ammunition.
Ukraine is expanding its ammunition production, following the example of drone production. The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmyhal, announced this at a government meeting on Friday, May 24.
“Over the past two years, we have significantly increased the production of our own weapons profitability rate for them to 25%, and as a result, the production of drones with us has grown 100 times a year Now, approved by government a resolution that establishes the same level of profitability for domestic ammunition producers to expand and modernize their lines, we also expect to see new companies and new investments,” said the Prime Minister.
Shmygal also said that since the beginning of the year, the government has allocated more than UAH 500 billion for the country’s defense, attracted more than $85 billion in external financing, as well as more than UAH 1 trillion thanks to military and other bonds.
“This made it possible to fully finance the main budget expenses,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Defense bought drones for more than UAH 1 billion.
