A peace conference should be organized so that it is recognized by both Russia and Ukraine, according to China and Brazil.
Brazil and China are proposing to hold an international peace conference with equal participation of all parties to discuss proposals to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced this yesterday after a meeting in Beijing between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and the chief foreign affairs adviser to the President of Brazil, Celso Amorim.
The document agreed upon by the parties formulated six points, the implementation of which, according to the leaders of China and Brazil, will solve the Ukrainian crisis. This is what the two countries call a full-scale war unleashed by Russia against the people of Ukraine.
The joint statement emphasized that such a peace conference should be organized in a manner recognized by both Russia and Ukraine.
“China and Brazil support an international peace conference to be held in due time, recognized by both Russia and Ukraine, with equal participation of all parties, and fair discussion of all peace plans,” said statement.
Brazil and China also called for increased humanitarian aid, refraining from attacks on civilians or civilian objects, and condemned the potential use of weapons of mass destruction in war.
We remind you that the Peace Summit will be held on June 15-16 in Switzerland. Ukraine hopes that 80-100 countries around the world will participate in this event.
The Office of the President said there is no talk of Russia’s participation in the first Peace Summit, but there is a possibility that its representatives will be at the second summit.
