The Prime Minister said that information on the timing and plans for the construction of the forts is confidential information and that representatives can only get it behind closed doors.
Funds for the construction of fortifications planned by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have been allocated in full. Prime Minister Denys Shmygal announced this on Friday, May 24, during government questions in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrinform wrote.
“In 2022, 2023 and 2024, the money was allocated for the construction of the corresponding fortresses. In general, more than 30 billion was allocated during this period. For all the fortresses of the first line, second and third, which were already planned be built by the General Staff, which, together with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, is responsible for the construction of fortifications in our state during the war, the funds are allocated in full for all these projects, “sures Shmygal.
The Prime Minister added that the timing and plans for the construction of the fortifications are classified information, available only to deputies behind closed doors.
Earlier it was reported that the Verkhovna Rada created a temporary commission of inquiry into the repair of fortresses and the purchase of drones in Ukraine.
In April, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated an additional 8 billion hryvnias for the construction of fortifications.
