The first Ukrainian pilots have completed a training course to fly fighter jets at a military base in Arizona.

The first group of Ukrainian pilots completed training on F-16 aircraft at a military base in the US state of Arizona. Erin Hannigan, a spokeswoman for the Arizona National Guard, spoke about it, Politico reports.

The completion of the training will be a decisive step towards ensuring that modern American-made fighters will appear in the skies of Ukraine

The pilots trained at the 162nd Air National Guard Base in Tucson.

Hannigan did not say how many graduated or the exact graduation date “out of concern for their safety.”

The pilots are currently on their way to Europe for further training.

As we have already written, ten Ukrainian military personnel have completed training in servicing F-16 fighters.

F-16 maintenance specialists began returning to Ukraine
