According to Iranian national television, the delegations included 10 heads of state and 20 ministers, as well as speakers of parliaments and special representatives of 68 foreign governments.
According to the Iranian news agency Mehr, these are, among others, representatives of China, Japan, Tunisia, Algeria, Malaysia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Syria, Turkey, Palestine, as well as the terrorist groups Hamas, Hezbollah and the Taliban.
Tens of thousands of people gathered on the streets of Tehran with signs declaring that Raisi was a “martyr of service” or a “servant of the outcast.”
On May 23, Raisi’s body will be taken to the Imam Reza Mausoleum in the city of Mashhad, where Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will bid farewell to the president.
What is known about Raisa
Bloody tyrant, “Tehran butcher” – these epithets refer to Ibrahim Raisi, who died in an airplane crash on May 19, returning from Azerbaijan.
In three years, he managed to become the “hanging president” and execute about 30 thousand people, including minors. The odious politician has many supporters in Europe, Asia and Hamas, because his “axis of evil” played into the hands of many, in particular Russia.
President Ibrahim Rais was remembered by the Iranians as the “butcher of Tehran”, by the Ukrainians as a “colleague of the Kremlin” who sold thousands of drones to Russia, by the Israelis as the culprit of the most massive attack on their country in the history of mankind.
However, recently the UN Security Council misses Iranian President Raisa and Foreign Minister Abdollahian – the flag was lowered in front of the organization’s building.
Just before the Security Council meeting, they decided to honor the memory of the victims by standing during a minute of silence. Everyone stood up, including the US representative.
With Raisi’s death, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is now well positioned to become more powerful than any other successor to Supreme Leader Khamenei, Bloomberg writes.
It is noted that over the past 20 years, the IRGC has significantly increased its influence on the country’s politics and economy.
