Hourly outage schedules will be in effect for industrial and household consumers across Ukraine throughout the day.
Hourly closing schedules on Thursday, May 23, will be in effect for industrial and household consumers throughout Ukraine from 00:00 to 24:00. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.
It was noted that the supply of energy to critical infrastructure facilities that perform the role of life support for the population is not limited.
“The reason for extending the restrictions is the predicted dense clouds in most regions of Ukraine, due to which the solar power plants will be forced to reduce the production of electricity Accordingly, the cost of the deficit in the energy system will increase,” said Ukrenergo.
The company warns that shutdowns may apply if certain consumption limits are exceeded.
We remind you that from March 22 to May 8, the Russians targeted all large thermal and hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine five times. Due to extensive damage, they were unable to produce as much electricity as before the attacks began.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal promised “fair schedules” for disconnecting consumers from electricity.
