The European Union and Moldova have signed a security partnership agreement. This was announced by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, on the social network X on Tuesday, May 21.
According to him, the agreement with Moldova is the first of its kind for the EU. The document was signed on behalf of Moldova by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, and on behalf of the European Union by the EU’s chief diplomat.
“Moldova is the first country to sign a defense and security cooperation agreement with the EU. said Borrell.
We remind you that EU ambassadors agreed on a draft bilateral agreement between Ukraine and the European Union as a continuation of the G7 declaration on “security guarantees”. It is planned to be completed by early July at the latest.
On May 6, Ukraine held the fourth round of negotiations with the United States to sign a bilateral agreement on security guarantees.
