Polish intelligence services detained and arrested nine people suspected of direct participation in sabotage activities in favor of the Russian Federation – beatings, arson and other types of sabotage. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced this on RMF24.
We have now arrested nine suspects who have been charged with direct participation in acts of sabotage in Poland ordered by Russian intelligence services,” he noted.
Tusk stressed that the matter is “very serious” and it concerns not only Poland. Sabotage was planned in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Sweden. The accused are citizens of Ukraine, Belarus and Poland. Polish security forces are now cooperating with their allies on this issue.
The Polish prime minister recalled the situation in Wroclaw, where security forces thwarted an attempt to set fire to a paint production plant, which was supposed to take place on the order of Russian services.
Let us recall that The Washington Post reported that last summer Polish law enforcement officers exposed a group of Ukrainian refugees recruited by Russian intelligence services who were supposed to monitor the transportation of weapons for Ukraine and prepare sabotage.
