“US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Brown will hold a virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group on May 20 at the Pentagon,” the statement said.
Traditionally, defense ministers and heads of defense departments from nearly 50 countries are expected to attend the meeting. Participants will discuss Russia’s war in Ukraine and the continuation of close coordination to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the means necessary to protect their country’s sovereign territory.
