Starting from Saturday, May 18, the acceptance of applications for consular actions for men of military age, which was suspended on April 23, will resume. Ukrainian diplomats updated regulatory documents and made changes to the algorithms of information and communication systems, which made it possible to bring consular activities into compliance with the law on mobilization. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is noted that other authorities and the Ministry of Defense have created mechanisms for updating military registration data and synchronizing them with the consular services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Now, in order to receive the selected consular service, applicants must submit their military registration document in paper or electronic form.
A paper military registration document (VOD) is a certificate of registration at a conscription station (issued to conscripts) or a military ID or temporary certificate of a person liable for military service (issued to those liable for military service). And the electronic military registration document (e-VOD) is displayed in the application on the user’s smartphone.
Let us remind you that the State Tax Service reported that from May 18, men aged 18 to 60 years old will be checked at the border for a military registration document along with an identity document.
