The head of state is confident that Slovenia will also support the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

President Vladimir Zelensky spoke on the phone with Prime Minister of Slovenia Robert Golob. The head of state announced this on Telegram on Friday, May 17.

“He thanked for the active support of the Peace Formula, including the confirmation of his participation in the Peace Summit in Switzerland,” the Ukrainian leader said.

The parties also discussed continuing defense cooperation. “Our teams are completing work on a bilateral security document within the framework of the G7 declaration. We agreed to sign it for the first time,” Zelensky added.

The President also expressed confidence that Slovenia will support the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

Let’s recall that at the end of March, Slovenia supported the Czech initiative to buy artillery ammunition for Ukraine.

Earlier, Zelensky announced the preparation of seven new security documents, one of them on the United States.
