In Kyiv, on May 17, a building was dismantled, which, contrary to the law, was arbitrarily erected by the religious society of the UOC-MP on the territory of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the buffer zone of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Kyiv: Hagia Sophia and nearby monastic buildings, Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.”

According to the documents, these were three kiosks of 20 square meters each. m, where the name “Temple-MAF” came from.
The UOC-MP installed this structure at the foundation of the Church of the Tithes in 2012.
The legal delay lasted several years, the National Museum of History of Ukraine claimed that the chapel was built illegally – without permission from the state.
In February 2023, the Economic Court of Kyiv ordered the UOC to demolish the chapel, but the church refused.
On April 8, 2024, the museum announced a collection for the dismantling of the illegal building. Funds for hiring a construction company were raised within 24 hours.
