On May 16, the Russians launched cluster munition attacks on a village in the Volchansk community.
Five people were injured – two doctors, two drivers and the head of the Volchansk city military administration.
In addition, in the north of Volchansky, the Russians shot civilians, residents were taken prisoner, said Interior Minister Igor Klimenko.
Until today, evacuation continued in this area – the police did not stop taking people out, despite threats and under fire, the official emphasized.
According to operational information, the Russian occupiers, who were trying to gain a foothold in the city, did not allow local residents to evacuate – instead, people began to be kidnapped and driven into basements, Klimenko noted.
It also became known about the first executions of civilian occupiers. In particular, one of the residents of Volchansk tried to escape on foot, refused to follow the commands of the invaders, and was killed by the Russians, the minister said.
