A passenger plane of the Indonesian airline Garuda Indonesia made an emergency landing due to an engine fire. The Independent reported this.
The Boeing 747-400 with 450 passengers on board was flying from the Indonesian city of Makassar to Medina (Saudi Arabia) and returned to its departure airport after noticing the fire.
The airline’s chief, Irfan Setiaputra, said an investigation into the incident had been launched.
It is known that all 450 passengers and 18 crew members were safely evacuated, and no one was injured in the fire.
