The suspect said he shot the Slovakian Prime Minister because he disagreed with the government’s policies, particularly on freedom of speech and the expected crackdown on the media.
The attacker of Slovak Prime Minister Juraj Cintula explained that he did not agree with the government’s policies, which is why he attacked Robert Fico. Tintula said this in a video published by the ta3 channel.
In the video obtained by journalists, the suspect said he shot Fico because he “did not agree with the policies of the government.”
“The media is being liquidated, why are they attacking RTVS. Why was Mazak removed from his position?”
It is also clear from the video conversation that the suspect decided to carry out the attack a month ago.
Let’s remember that on May 15, Robert Fico was shot after a government meeting in Gandlova. The attacker was detained at the scene.
In the evening it was found that the operation lasted 3 hours 40 minutes, the most important artery was not damaged. After the operation, Fico was put into an induced coma.
