The US State Department has not officially announced Blinken’s alleged upcoming trip to Ukraine.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken intends to visit Ukraine this week. The American official has several meetings planned in Kyiv. Politico reported this on Monday, May 13.
It is indicated that Blinken’s visit will last several days.
“The exact route of the US Secretary of State is not known, but it is likely that on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 14-15, the security services will temporarily block the roads in the capital of Ukraine,” the message said.
The publication indicates that the US State Department did not respond to requests for comment from media representatives.
Previously, US Secretary of State Blinken came to Ukraine in September last year. Then the American official held meetings with the top politicians of Ukraine.
Let’s remember that on May 10, the United States announced an aid package worth $400 million. This includes additional ammunition for Patriot and NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells, and more.
Ukraine, after receiving US military aid, plans to launch a new counter-offensive in 2025.
