This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Zvarych in a comment to Ukrinform. He explained that the meeting of ministers was postponed until “an official of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy will be identified on the Ukrainian side.”
Earlier in Poland they said that Warsaw stopped negotiations with Ukraine regarding farmers’ protests at the border due to the announcement of suspicion of corruption to former Minister of Agricultural Policy Nikolai Solsky. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kolodziejczak in an interview with Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
According to him, another round of negotiations was supposed to take place on May 14, but they were cancelled.
We will not negotiate with people accused of corruption.
On May 13, the European Union finally approved a “trade visa-free” regime for Ukraine, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said. According to him, this means that duty-free and quota-free trade will be extended for another year.
Let us recall that at the beginning of May, Polish farmers stopped blocking cargo transportation on the border with Ukraine.
