Today, May 13, a record volume of imports from five European countries is planned. The press service of Ukrenergo reports this.
It is noted that today, as of 9:10, consumption increased by 6.7% compared to the same time on the previous working day – Friday, May 10.
There remains a significant shortage of electricity in the energy system for most of the day. The reason is large-scale damage to Ukrainian power plants, due to which they cannot produce as much electricity as before the attack, the company notes.
In this situation, it is expected that power limitation schedules for industrial consumers will be applied between 17:00 and 24:00.
Limiting consumption is a necessary measure to maintain the stability of the energy system after the enemy’s fifth targeted missile attack on power plants this year, Ukrenergo notes.
Therefore, Ukrainians are urged to consume electricity sparingly, especially in the period from 17:00 to 24:00.
