We can say that the enemy’s actions in this direction began according to a well-known schedule, about which the Main Intelligence Directorate, as expected, all the necessary authorities, leadership and command were informed,” Andrey Yusov, speaker of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said on air of the telethon.
Yusov said that together with the Defense Forces, special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate are fighting in the Kharkov direction.
He also stated that the enemy in this direction was suffering heavy losses and called on the occupiers to surrender. According to Yusov, in the Kharkov direction the occupiers attracted fighters from the Moscow and Leningrad military districts.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate also said that “a decision was made to quickly open an additional camp for Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine.”
Russia has already “reported” on the seizure of several villages in the north of the Kharkov region. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side says that the enemy has been localized in the “gray zone.” However, people began to be evacuated from nearby settlements.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky said that fighting is currently ongoing in the areas bordering the Russian Federation. He called the situation difficult.
Meanwhile, the commander of the reconnaissance unit of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Denis Yaroslavsky, was outraged by the lack of fortifications on the border.
