In particular, on the night of May 12, an oil refinery burned in Volgograd. The dictatorship announced an attack by Ukrainian drones. The fire had supposedly already been extinguished, but traditionally there were “no casualties.” This statement was made by the governor of the Volgograd region Andrei Bocharov.
According to Russian Telegram channels, the drone attack occurred around 2.30. Several loud explosions occurred in one of the districts of Volgograd; local residents had previously heard a sound characteristic of a drone flight.
Propaganda claims that Russian electronic warfare stations seem to have disabled Ukrainian drones. However, for some reason they still fell on the territory of the refinery and caused a fire.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that on the night of May 12, air defense shot down one drone over the territory of the Volgograd region. Three more were apparently destroyed over the Bryansk region, and two over Lipetsk.
Let us remind you that on the night of May 11, drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine hit the oil refinery of the LUKoil corporation in the Volgograd region. The primary oil refining installations AVT-1 and AVT-6, the control cable for air coolers and the chimney of the P-1 furnace were damaged.
