This was reported by the press service of the competition organizers of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
It is noted that the reason for this decision was a complaint filed by a female member of the production team regarding an incident that occurred after his performance in the semi-finals on Thursday evening, which is now being investigated by Swedish police.
“We have a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior at our event and are committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for all competition staff,” the EBU notes. — As such, Joost Klein’s behavior towards a team member is considered a violation of the competition rules.
Thus, there will be 25 participating songs in the final of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest. Ukraine will compete at number 2.
According to SVT, a physical altercation could have occurred between the photographer and the singer.
We have a man suspected of making unlawful threats. The suspected crime appears to have taken place at the Malmö arena on Thursday evening, local police were told, without specifying who they were talking about, but the complainant is known to be a Eurovision employee.
Klein took part in Eurovision with the song Europapa. According to bookmakers, he could get into the top 10 of the competition.
