The number of Ukrainian refugees in the European Union has decreased in nine countries at once.

This is confirmed by Eurostat data.
By the end of February 2024, 4.23 million people had temporary protection status in the European Union. However, already in March 2024, this figure dropped to 4.21 million people.
In particular, statistics provide the following figures for the decrease in the number of refugees:
- Czech Republic – minus 20,700 (-5.4%);
- Sweden – minus 9960 (-21.5%);
- Austria – minus 9130 (-11.1%);
- Denmark – minus 5385 (-14.5%);
- Poland – minus 1680 (-0.2%);
At the same time, compared with data at the end of February, the largest increase in the number of refugees was observed in Germany (+15,210; +1.2%), the Netherlands (+4,705; +4%) and Bulgaria (+3,475; + 7.6%). .
As of the end of March, the main EU countries accepting Ukrainian refugees were:
- Germany – 1.3 million people, or 30.9% of the total;
- Poland – 955.52 thousand people, or 22.7%.
- Czech Republic – 364.38 thousand people, or 8.7%.
