In temporarily occupied Crimea, a pensioner was fined and arrested for five days for a pro-Ukrainian publication on a social network. The pro-Ukrainian TG channel Crimean Wind reported this on Wednesday, May 8.

“A pensioner from Old Crimea was arrested for five days for a picture on a social network and given an administrative fine in the amount of 35 thousand rubles with the words “for public display of Nazi symbols and for discrediting the armed forces of Russia .” The pseudo-court found that the 64-year-old local resident on his page in “Cotton Klassniki” posted a publication depicting a trident,” the message said.

It was previously reported that during Crimea’s occupation of the peninsula, 60 people died on the peninsula due to political repression by the Russian Federation, 28 of whom were Crimean Tatars.
