On the night of today, May 8, the Russian invaders launched a combined attack on Ukraine with various types of missiles and attack drones.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In total, the enemy used 76 air attack weapons – 55 missiles and 21 attack drones. In particular:
- one Kh-47M2 “Dagger” aeroballistic missile (launched from the Tambov region of Russia);
- two Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launched from temporarily occupied Crimea);
- four Kalibr cruise missiles (launched from the Black Sea);
- 45 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 TS strategic aviation aircraft (launch areas – Saratov region of Russia and the Caspian Sea);
- one Iskander-K cruise missile (from Crimea);
- two X-59/X-69 guided aircraft missiles (from the occupied areas of the Zaporozhye region);
- 21 attack UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type (from the regions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and the Kursk region of the Russian Federation).
Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are involved in repelling the enemy’s air attack, the statement says.
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 59 air targets were destroyed:
- 33 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;
- four Kalibr cruise missiles;
- two X-59/X-69 guided aircraft missiles;
- 20 attack UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type.
The enemy continues to strike at Ukraine’s critical infrastructure and other important strategic sites,” said Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Nikolai Oleshchuk. “I thank everyone who made every effort today to prevent the enemy from achieving his goals.
