The SBU detained two UGO colonels and exposed a network of agents of the 5th service of the FSB of the Russian Federation. In addition to Vladimir Zelensky, the enemy planned to eliminate the head of the Security Council of Ukraine Vasily Malyuk, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov. In particular, the enemies planned to carry out the murder of Budanov before Easter. The press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported this on May 7 in Telegram.
Investigators found that the initially recruited agent was supposed to monitor the movement of the protected person and transmit information to the enemy. The Russians wanted to hit the house where the official was supposed to be with a missile.
And the enemy wanted to attack those remaining at the site of the defeat with a drone, and then attack them again with a missile.
Armament for the Russian agent was provided by a UGO colonel, who personally brought FPV drones, RPG-7 charges, and MON-90 anti-personnel mines to Kiev. The crimes of the SBU traitors were documented step by step.
The detainees were informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) and Part 1 of Art. 14, part 2 art. 258 (preparation for a terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The defendants face life imprisonment.
Let us remind you that the SBU detained an agent of the Russian special services who spied on the pontoon crossings of the Ukrainian Defense Forces across the rivers of the Donetsk region. The occupiers planned ground operations and prepared air strikes against concentrations of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
