On the night of May 6, the Russian invaders attacked the Sumy region from the northern direction with 13 attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type. The launch took place from the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
As a result of the “martyrdom” attack, invincibility points were deployed in Sumy, and critical infrastructure facilities were switched to backup power. On the night of May 6, electricity and water supplies partially disappeared in Sumy, and some districts of Kharkov were also without electricity.
Also today in Sumy, trolleybuses with autonomous operation started operating on the line due to the state of the energy system. There is partially no electricity in Lebedin, Belopolye and Akhtyrka, Sumy region.
The enemy is also attacking energy facilities in the Kharkov region. Yesterday evening, the protection switched off the equipment of the local power supply company. Most of it has already been returned to operation, but the complete restoration of energy supply is hampered by military operations near energy infrastructure facilities, Ukrenergo reports.
